1. How do I become a consignor?
Fill out the
online consignor registration form and a consignor number will be e-mailed back to you.
2. Define junior clothing sizes.
Junior clothing are trendy clothes worn by teenagers. We do not accept women's clothing.
3. What items are not accepted at the fall sale?
Bathing suits, sundresses, sun suits, spring dresses and any light weight summer type fabrics. We will accept nice dress shorts, such as navy or khaki and denim shorts.
4. What items are not accepted at the spring sale?
Coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, sweat suits, or any heavy fabrics such as wool. We will accept lightweight long sleeve shirts, jeans, and dress pants.
5. Do all baby items need to be on hangers?
All clothing must be hung on hangers, it sells better if the customer can see it.
6. How do I hang sets?
Hang shirt on the hanger and the shorts, shirt, or pants, on the back. Do not hang one under the other.
7. How do I package shoes?
Shoes should be placed in a ziploc bag with your tag taped to the outside or placed inside the bag.
8. How do I package my bedding?
All bedding should be on hangers.
9. How do I package my books?
The best way is to put several books in either a 1 or 2 gallon Ziploc bag and tape the tag to the outside.
10. Do I need batteries?
The item has a better chance of selling if it has batteries in it.
11. Why no straight pins?
These are not safe to use and will not keep the tag on the item securely.
12. Why no paper tags?
Paper tags tear easily and tend to be separated from the item.
13.What does DO NOT ALTER TAG mean?
We will not accept tags that have crossed out consignor numbers or changed prices. Your tags must be clearly marked.
14. Can I drop off more than once?
Yes.
15. Are there limits to how much I can bring?
You must consign at least 10 items to be a considered a consignor, but there is no maximum. However, be picky about what you bring. Maternity is limited to 10 pieces and shoes are limited to 5 pairs.
16. Can a friend pick up my unsold items?
Yes, a friend can pick up your unsold items, but he/she will need to sign for your items.
17. What happens to my items at the end of the sale?
Unsold items that are not picked up will go to a local charity. Items that are wanted can be picked up at the close of the show during design
Cash in the Nursery does not receive a tax credit for the donations.
18. When will I receive my check?
We try to get checks out as soon as possible. Usually two weeks after the end of the sale.
